Political scientist Thomas Ferguson says that committee assignments and chairmanships in the House of Representatives are not only for sale, they have posted prices, just like in Target or Wal-Mart or Best Buy.

Under the new rules for the 2008 election cycle, the DCCC [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee] asked rank and file members to contribute $125,000 in dues and to raise an additional $75,000 for the party.  Subcommittee chairpersons must contribute $150,000 in dues and raise an additional $100,000. Members who sit on the most powerful committees …. must contribute $200,000 and raise an additional $250,000.  Subcommittee chairs on power committees and committee chairs of non-power committees must contribute $250,000 and raise $250,000.  The five chairs of the power committees must contribute $500,000 and raise an additional $1 million.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, Majority Whip James Clyburn, and Democratic Caucus Chair Rahm Emmanuel must contribute $800,000 and raise $2.5…

politics make diferens way to make option bouth all problem ..and relijgion so way .

Some folks seem concerned that one of the leading contenders for the Republican nomination for President is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Some others are trying to paint such concerns as wrong headed or mean spirited or something else bad. Well, while it is not good to apply a “religious test” as a qualification for a public office in America, it is possible that some religious beliefs could disqualify a candidate.

For example, suppose that a candidate was a devout worshiper of Zeus who believed that his god actually was physically in residence on Mount Olympus. In fact, the committee’s legal assault on the stone wall surrounding the Justice Department’s collusion with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is only a waypoint in an epic, ongoing battle to uncover a scandal…

politics may be make your laif is ease man

You can argue global warming, class warfare, rich versus poor, or any other liberal talking point in the emergency room, while those doctors and nurses are trying to save your appendages after you’ve proven once again that no matter how much education some folk get, they’re just too stupid to come in out of the cold.

Please ask yourselves why your SEIU organizers sent you out to occupy anything like a street in the Northeast just before winter. Please do. We all want to know the answer to that.

I’d show you what frostbite does to bare asses crapping on cop cars or penises looking for luv in all the wrong places, but I think that lesson is best served cold.
